![]() ![]() The study is part of grant project research of Scientific Grant Agency of the Ministry of Education of Slovak Republic and the Academy of science (VEGA) no. There were no significant differences between parents in terms of type of school their child attends. The results of the survey do not correspond to opinion that Physical Education is not important from the parents´ perspective. The survey identified that majority of parents value physical education classes and they are interested in children´s participation in physical activities. The statistical significance was set at p<.05. To determine a significant difference, the data were processed using chi-square test. The closed-ended questions followed a Likert rating scale from 1 to 5. The survey consisted of closed-ended questions. ![]() The participants included 825 parents (women: 672 men: 153). The aim of the study is to increase the knowledge about physical activity and online physical education classes of students in primary and secondary schools from their parents´ perspective. Transition to online education significantly changed the teaching of school subjects, including Physical Education. Distance learning solutions were implemented during school closure to ensure continuity of education.
